Chairman of Training and Development is Geraint Davies. The Recruitment Officer is Jim Heaney and David Matthews takes charge of the Entry Level Referee Award (ELRA) courses. These courses are divided into Stages 1, 2 and 3 and have replaced the original Foundation Course. |

ELRA COURSE
The Entry Level Referee Award is a new, practically based course that will give you the core skills to referee Rugby Union. Details of all courses can be found on the RFU website (www.rfu.com/community), or contact the North Referee Development Officer, Will Halford via email at willhalford@rfu.com. Alternatively, if you have a group at your own rugby club who would like a course to be set up contact David Matthews (07787 548635).
GET QUALIFIED AND GET INVOLVED WITH THE GAME
MINI-MIDI COURSE
To referee in the Under 7 to Under 12 age group you should hold a Mini-Midi Certificate. This qualification can be added on to the ELRA Course.
CRIMINAL RECORDS BUREAU CLEARANCE
If you are refereeing at Under 19 level and below a CRB Clearance Certificate is a compulsory requirement. Contact any of the Society's Management
